I'd like to send out a huge thank you to all of the crew, visitors and guests that made Närcon such a great experience this year!
Despite the next to unbearable heat everyone worked very hard and treated me so well.
I wore my (since Desucon)slightly improved Kiryuin Satsuki during the first day, and while super warm, I still managed to have two shoots with both Vermillion Visuals and Danarki together with my Mankanshoku Mako and Matori Ryuko(:devgodirtypop) that seem to have turned out very nicely! I really love Satsuki, and though I'm still not entirely satisfied with my boots and my sword for her the new wig and tweaks I had done made a world of difference from when I wore her at Desucon.
On Friday I wore my Sailor Star Maker together with my other two Starlights and my Princess Kakkyuu and wow. Dear friends. Do not wear anything PVC in 30°C. I was positive I was going to melt, or at the very least faint on some occasions (and then the Starlights don't even wear that much clothing..!), and I have never felt so physically bad in a costume before. Wow. I am quite satisfied with how it turned out though, I've never made anything remotedly like it so I learned a thing or two down the road, and I'm so very happy that I could do it with mako75 as my princess, since I know this group means a lot to her.
Saturday was by far the comfiest day of them all since I wore my Nishikino Maki, Yume no Tobira costume from Love Live! PrettyDisease, rockiingNaruna and karron5 came back to Sweden from Japan to attend the con and to hang out , which means that we had a full μ's group of lovely rufflebutts and nearly all my favorite people, so it was a blast - not to mention the coolest and most weather appropriate costume I wore this entire con.
We also had AKBabes0048 performances at the opening and ending ceremony - and at a Game Show friday night. Wow. I don't think I've ever been so pumped for anything on stage in my entire life. Eat Your Kimchi's Martina and Simon acted as team captains and we split in teams of 5 and 5 members, doing ridiculous challanges and going all out to avoid receiving the batsu(punishments) - which mainly was eating disgusting stuff. I am very proud to say that my team - Team Simon - won the show and got away with 10 pushups, 10 squats and one disgusting Bertie Bott's Beans in all flavors each.
All in all: I had a lovely - albeit very busy - convention and I'm left with a whole bunch of fun and precious memories, my only regret is not having more time to hang out with new and old friends.
I'd like to send out some extra love to super cutie Suzuko who made all the AKBabes' members the kiraras from the AKB0048 anime, and Ell, for making us some super cute bracelets, they are my most priced material treasures that I take home from Närcon this year.
I'm so happy for all the lovely people I met and got to work with, and I can't wait to show you more photos of my costumes and performances.
Until next time!
